Make sure file transfers keep working. Monitor FTP, SFTP and FTPS servers for availability and get an alert when connections fail, before a partner or a scheduled job does.
Automated exports, backups, partner deliveries and CMS deployments still depend on FTP and SFTP. When the server stops accepting connections, the failure usually surfaces hours later as a missing file.
A transfer monitor connects to the server on a schedule, exactly as a client would, and alerts you immediately when it cannot.
Every check is stored in a full log, so you can see exactly when and how something changed.
Pick the protocol that matches your server and security needs.
Monitor servers on non-standard ports.
Track how quickly the server answers over time.
Test from the regions your partners connect from.
From sign-up to your first alert in a few minutes.
Choose FTP, SFTP or FTPS.
Select where checks should originate.
Pick the channels for outage notifications.
Sensible defaults get you started; every option below can be tuned per monitor.

Keep old file exchange servers on the radar.
Create as many notification methods as you like, even on the free plan.
FTP is unencrypted. FTPS adds TLS to FTP. SFTP is a different protocol that runs over SSH. Upzilla can check all three.

It checks the server connection and availability; it does not transfer your data.
